About us
Ore mining enterprise producing tin and copper concentrates brings together the assets of former Solnechny mining and processing plant (Festivalnoye and Perevalnoye deposits, Solnechnaya processing plant), located 17 km away from Komsomolsk-na-Amure.
Solnechnaya Processing Plant was initially commissioned in 1962 and processed 53.7 thousand tonnes of ore in 1963. Before the commencement of economic slowdown of the 1990s, the enterprise employed about 5,000 people across all specialisms. It had four mines, two processing plants and the entire system of auxiliary facilities and production businesses in operation. Processing capacity stood at 400 thousand tonnes of ore per annum.
Tin Mining Company OJSC was established on May 7, 2010, and in November 2011 obtained licenses to the Perevalnoye and Festivalnoye deposits of the Solnechny district (since November 2018, Tin Mining Company Joint-Stock Company). From April 2012 to June 2012, the processing plant processed sands from the tailings storage facility. In July 2012, the processing workflow of the plant switched to ore processing. 150 thousand tonnes of ore from the Maiskaya Ore Zone were processed in 2012. The processing plant suspended its operations in late 2012. In 2013, it was decided to resume operations in the Festivalnoye deposit, so the repair and refurbishment work began. The Molodezhny mine underwent extensive repair, refurbishment and rehabilitation work within the framework of the mine technical re-equipment project.
94.6 thousand tonnes of ore were mined in the course of stoping in 2016–17.
In 2018, Tin Mining Company JSC gained a new status of advanced development territory resident: Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 510 dated April 26, 2018 On Amendment of Resolution of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 628 dated June 25, 2015 included ‘Modernisation of the Solnechnaya processing plant’ investment project in the Komsomolsk ADT boundaries.
